Protecting Your Peace
Even in this season of misinformation, disease, disconnect and uncertainty - protecting your peace is providence. We don’t always see everything that surrounds us and don’t always accurately depict what’s coming, especially when we are operating from a state of fear, instead of peace. We become reactive, overzealous, manipulative and even spiteful in order to quell those fears.
We have control over our actions, and only those. So, I challenge you to consciously think about how you can cover yourself, be intentional and make sure that you don’t normalize chaos in your life by being reactive instead of proactive and living in foresight rather than hindsight. I live a faith-based life and as such, I set out my day giving thanks, speaking peace, prosperity and fruitfulness and then I go about my day, utilizing my hands, thoughts and accessing every gift that I have to accomplish any tasks that need completing.
Do I always complete every task? No. Do I quit? No.
I understand that sometimes we don’t know enough or have the right people in our circle, or have enough assets, or whatever else it is that we may need and we are put on “pause”. I like to call it course correcting. It gives us a chance to redo or rethink our process so that we can operate at optimum capacity and to ensure that we reach our goal.
I take on the perspective that if my day is interrupted - my peace- I ask, “why” and then adjust accordingly.
